Optometry Scotland is sharing the following update issued by NSS PSD Ophthalmic for members’ information.
Members are encouraged to review the update carefully and ensure any relevant information is shared with practice teams involved in eOphthalmic claims and processes.
“Good morning,
eOphthalmic downtime Tuesday 16 June 2026 14:00–22:00
Due to essential updates, eOphthalmic claim submissions will be unavailable on Tuesday 16 June 2026 between 14:00 and 22:00. Please do not try to submit any ophthalmic claims for payment between 14:00 and 22:00 on Tuesday 16 June 2026.
You may notice after the update that claims over 90 days old have been removed from the system. This action is being taken to improve the overall performance of the eOphthalmic system. This may also impact practice management software submissions.
The timing of this update was carefully considered to minimise disruption to the monthly payment cycle.
We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
