Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) has confirmed that Clinical Governance Standards has today been published. Optometry Scotland welcomes the publication of the final Clinical Governance Standards.
These standards have been developed to provide assurance that organisations are delivering high-quality, safe care in line with best practice, national policy and legislation. They also support both internal and external quality assurance.
The standards apply to all clinical services that are planned, commissioned or delivered across Scotland’s health and social care system.
Optometry Scotland contributed to the development of these standards, working closely with HIS and sector partners to ensure community optometry is appropriately reflected.
