“The Tear Film Gold Mine: Unlocking Biomarkers for Personalised Dry Eye Care” explores why do two dry eye patients with identical symptoms require completely different treatments. The complex biochemical makeup of our tears can help to unravel the answer. Moving beyond basic staining and Schirmer’s tests, this presentation unpacks the vital role of tear biomarkers. Discover how tears can be sampled and used to detect molecular flags and inflammatory markers, allowing clinicians to identify the root driver of the disease in their patient sitting in their consulting room chair.
