Optometry Scotland would like to let our members know that the Scottish Government has issued a new PCA(O)2026(06). The PCA includes:
- GOS primary eye examination dilation rates for patients aged 60 and over between 1 August 2025 and 31 March 2026 inclusive;
- Practitioner and practice profile reports.
The circular provides an update relevant to community optometry in Scotland. For ease, Optometry Scotland has also prepared a short one-page summary highlighting the key points from the document.
Members may also wish to read the accompanying letter from the Chief Optometric Advisor Dr Janet Pooley, which provides further guidance and context.
