Sight Scotland Announce Free hustings for Visually Impaired Voters

Your Voice, Your Vote: Accessible Online Hustings Ahead of the Scottish Parliament Election

With the Scottish Parliament election taking place on 7 May, Sight Scotland and Sight Scotland Veterans are hosting a free online hustings event to support blind and partially sighted voters.

Event details
Date: Tuesday 28 April
Time: 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Location: Online via Zoom

The event, Your Voice, Your Vote, will bring together representatives from Scotland’s main political parties, giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly where they stand on key issues and to ask questions ahead of polling day. The session is politically neutral, with all parties invited on an equal basis.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the event will include clear audio, an experienced chair, and the option to submit questions in advance.

This may be particularly relevant for patients with sight loss who are interested in understanding how policies may impact them and ensuring their voice is heard.
