Optometry Scotland would like to let our members know that the Scottish Government has issued a new PCA(O)2026(03). The PCA includes:
- A change to NHS optical voucher eligibility, following the removal of certain UK benefits.
- Time-limited grant funding to support practices in obtaining a portable slit lamp for domiciliary GOS provision.
The circular provides an update relevant to community optometry in Scotland. For ease, Optometry Scotland has also prepared a short one-page summary highlighting the key points from the document.
