CHEC GLP1 RAs: The Good, The Bad and Why We Should Care C-113803

November 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This session explores the ocular implications of GLP-1 receptor agonists, a rapidly growing class of medications used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity. With increasing patient uptake, it’s essential for optometrists and dispensing opticians to understand potential visual complications such as worsening diabetic retinopathy, vitreous haemorrhage, and NAION. This session will provide practical guidance on clinical monitoring, communication strategies, and referral considerations to support safe, patient-centred care.
